Managing Users and Permissions
Overview
User Management is where account admins can add, edit, and manage platform users.
It helps make sure each team member has the right access for their role.
What You Can Do in User Management
With User Management, admins may be able to:
- Add new users
- Edit existing users
- Disable users
- Manage user roles
- Control feature access
- Review user status
- Manage whether users can access specific areas of the platform
Available options may vary based on your account permissions.
When to Use User Management
Use User Management when your team changes or when someone needs different access.
Common examples include:
- Adding a new staff member
- Removing access for someone who left the organization
- Updating a user’s role
- Giving a manager additional access
- Reviewing who can use Chatbox, Campaigns, or account settings
How to View Users
- Go to Users in the Settings/Configuration menu in the lower left.
- Review the list of users on your account.
- Search or filter users if available.
- Select a user to view their details, role, or access settings.
How to Add a User
- Go to Users in the Settings/Configuration menu in the lower left.
- Select the option to add a new user.
- Enter the user’s name and email address (we recommend these be the same).
- Choose the appropriate role or permissions.
- Check the group names you would like them to be able to send messages from.
- Click Save.
- To send a password reset, click Edit from the options menu and click Send Password Reset.
How to Edit a User
- Go to User in the Settings/Configuration menu in the lower left.
- Find the user you want to update.
- Click Edit from the options menu.
- Update their role, permissions, name, or access as needed.
- Save your changes.
How to Remove or Deactivate a User
- Go to User in the Settings/Configuration menu in the lower left.
- Find the user who should no longer have access.
- Click Edit from the options menu..
- Choose the option to disable access or delete the user.
- Confirm the change.
User Roles and Access
User roles help determine what each person can see and do.
For example, some users may only need access to conversations, while others may need access to campaigns, contacts, reporting, etc.
Choosing the right role helps keep your account organized and secure.
Tips for Managing Users
- Give users only the access they need.
- Remove or deactivate users who no longer need access.

- Use clear names and email addresses so users are easy to identify.
- Assign manager or admin access carefully.
